The End.

I have decided to stop writing on this blog. I hardly use it any more so I've decided to stop worrying about it at all. I have a tumblr page that I'm always on, multiple times a day. So go here if you would like to continue following me. Otherwise, later gators.

I stole this off of tumblr because it looked interesting and fun but mostly because I haven't done one of these in FOREVER.

What song do you listen to when you're feeling down?
Pretty much anything by Sara Bareilles. The wonderful thing about her music is that it can fit pretty much any situation so if I want to feel better or if I want to indulge my emotions for a moment I'm covered.
Do you drink Tea or Coffee?
Both, I drink tea when I'm sick or I drink coffee on the days I'm having trouble getting started.
How many languages can you speak?
Uno...wait. One?
Tell us three fears.
Lack of success, spiders (although living alone this past 2 years I've gotten pretty good at tackling that one) and having no purpose.
What was the last board game you played?
Are we talking an actual board game or a board game you can play online? I play Ticket to Ride online with my friend Jay all the time. The last physical board game I played was The Walking Dead I think.
What was the last book you read?
Drift by Rachel Maddow
Have you ever walked into a glass door?
No but I have walked into a wall.
Do five jumping jacks/star jump.
Only if I can have a cookie after.
Who's your biggest celebrity crush?
Lena Heady has always been my long standing crush but lately I've been crazy about Zoie Palmer on Lost Girl.
Do you believe in marriage?
Yes, but not in the way you think. I have a rather unromantic view of marriage in that I think it's a good way for two people who plan on spending a large part of their lives together to get the proper benefits such as healthcare, taxes and retirement. If it doesn't work out, no big deal, just get a divorce.
What would you do with 1 million dollars?
Set up a good retirement plan, make sure my family was taken care of and probably travel to a few places I have always wanted to go. I wouldn't be the type of person to just up a quit my job and never plan to work again, that would get boring after a while.
Tell us three things that your parents disapprove of?
Taking a break from college, getting my car, my decision to stay in Michigan for the time being.
What is one thing you'd like to change/fix?
Something I want to change is setting more goals for myself. This past year I found out that if I don't have a set plan and goals to achieve I just stagnate and feel completely uninspired.
Post a pic of your lovely face.
Oh jeez I'll have to find one to put up later.
Name three of your favorite blogs.
Name three Disney movies that you adore.
Are we talking Disney cartoons or Disney-Pixar? Oh what they hey I'll give you both:
Beauty and the Beast
Peter Pan
Lion King

The Incredibles
When's your birthday?
December 29th.
What do you aspire to be?
A good person.
Do you sponsor a cause?
Do I personally sponsor a cause? No, but support causes such as Habitat for Humanity.
Do you play/watch sports?
Yes with Michigan being number 1 in basketball right now I've watched more basketball than I have in a while and now that hockey is back on again I'll probably start watching more of the Redwings.
Do you play an instrument?
Kind of, I can badly plucky my way through a couple songs on a guitar and I still remember how to play the clarinet.
What's your favorite color?
Cerulean blue.
What is your favorite animal?
My dog Coda.

The Miraculous Flying Kid

I was going through some old emails when I found this and it made me smile so I decided to share it.

The Miraculous Flying Kid
by Me
I knew a strange kid who wanted to fly
Who climbed a building so high in the sky
He got to the top
And thought with a flop
I probably should not have jumped, "oh my!"

Now, before you begin to cry
About the kid who decided to fly
This story's not done
It's only begun
So make sure you keep those eyes nice and dry.

Archibald, was this kid's uncommon name.
But people called him Archie just the same.
As some might say,
He was weird in a way.
He only cared about fortune and fame.

He knew what he wanted most was the fame.
And his plan had to be awesome, not lame.
So he thought and thought
Riddled with fraught
Until "Eureka!" the idea came.

He quickly started to write a manifesto,
But was interrupted by his best friend Ernesto.
He said "I think you should take,
A short little break,
And try some of my noodles and pesto."

The thing Archie liked about Ernesto
Was that he made the very best pesto.
So without delay
Archie put the work away,
Cleared the table and shouted "Presto!"

As soon as Archie finished eating,
He and Ernesto had a meeting
They had to decide
How to divide
The work they would be completing.

By teaming up the work would be fleeting
So they made a game and started competing
Archie was slow
Because he didn't know
His sluggishness was due to overeating.

When all of the work was done,
Archie knew he'd had some fun.
But he had to be serious
And a bit mysterious
So he told Ernesto he needed to run.

Archie was determined to be someone.
And he knew that his stunt would stun
So he put into motion
What would cause a commotion
And quite possibly never be outdone.

He alerted the news.
They thought it was a ruse.
"No way," he said,
"It's as real as my head,
This’ll be bigger than Howard Hughes."

He gave the media clues
To where they could find the best views.
Of his attempt,
They'd be verklempt,
But Archie was sure to amuse.

After he made the call
Archie prepared for his fall
With safety his focus
And no hocus pocus,
His room for error would be small

His equipment he had to haul
To the top of the building so tall.
He put on his gear,
Then without any fear,
Archie stepped over the safety wall.

The wind rushing past, he did hear,
He knew consequences could be severe,
But Archie hit the switch
And without a glitch,
His jet pack kicked into gear

As the crowd started to cheer
Archie's grin began to appear.
He went from a zero
To their national hero
And became an aeronautics pioneer.
